Draw Connector with Specified Connection Points

Draws a connector with specified connection points.

Use the Symbol Palette to select the required connector, drag and drop the connector onto the drawing canvas.

The prompt Select connector starting position or snap to connection point or is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the start point of the connector.

If connection point routing is on, the prompt Type or select length of starting point segment or is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the routing length of the connector.

The prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish or is displayed.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the point to which the connector is drawn.

If an object connection point is selected, a connector is drawn between the two specified points and the command ends automatically.

If an object snap point or a position on the drawing canvas is selected, the prompt Select connector position or snap to connection point to finish <or Finish> is displayed.

The prompt is repeated, multiple straight line connector segments can be created.

Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.

A connector is drawn and displays on the drawing canvas.

Note:
The Repeat Connector option becomes available on the Fluent User Interface (UI) once the first connector is drawn. Additional connectors, using the same format as the first connector, can be added to the drawing canvas without the need to drag and drop from the Symbol Palette.

Press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Begin with shield

Draws a connector with shield vertices at the start point of the connector. Refer to Draw Connector with Shield Vertices for further information.

Turn on routing

Turns on connection point routing.

Multi connector

Draws a multi-connector which consists of a parent connector and a specified number of child connectors that are equally spaced using an offset value. Refer to Draw Multi-connector for further information.

Turn off routing

Turns off connection point routing.

Back

Undoes the last action.

End with shield

Draws a connector with shield vertices at the end point of the connector. Refer to Draw Connector with Shield Vertices for further information.

Finish

Ends the command.
