Default values for new records can be defined for a session. These values automatically populate fields in the Create element information window which is used to create a record.

Click Session Defaults on the status bar to display the Session Defaults window:

Attribute

Defines the attribute for which the default value is set.

Value

Type or select a default value.

Apply as default

Defines the default value settings for the session default.

If the check box is selected, the value is used as the default value.

If the check box is not selected, the value is not used as the default value.

A new row of blank fields (for defining a further default value) is automatically added beneath the existing rows when a default value is defined.

Autofilter List

Defines the autofilter settings.

If the check box is selected, autofilter is turned on.

If the check box is not selected, autofilter is turned off.

Refer to Create Record for further information.

Automatically release claimed elements on Save Work

Notes:
A requirement for this functionality is that the module should be launched using a Mechanical or Process user(s) and the check box should be checked for each user. By default the checkbox is not checked.

Claimed imported ETAP elements can also be automatically released on SaveWork.

Use this functionality to automatically release claimed elements on SaveWork. The option should be saved in engineering defaults along with other defaults in Project Options of the Engineering module.

On checking the checkbox, all the tag elements (that is ENITE, SIMITE, FUNITE, XPITE) which are claimed by the user will be released on SaveWork. If the checkbox is not checked, elements claimed by the user will not be released on SaveWork and the user must release them explicitly whenever required. The current grid will reflect the change of released elements by removing the bold on tags if any of the elements are bold.

Note:
In multiuser environment if user A updates an element and carried out SaveWork then user B will be able to work on same element.
