Prepare View Definition Set for Simulation Grid

Prerequisite

• Start AVEVA Engineering - Configuration Module.

To prepare a view definition set for simulation grid

1. In the Tools area on the Rules tab, select Database Views Editor.

   

2. In the table header of the View Definition Set area, click Name

   

3. Click right mouse button to display the context menu.

4. Select New to display the submenu.

5. Select View to display the View Detail area with an empty Table1.

   

6. On the View Properties tab in the View Detail area, select the Browse icon in the Element Types row to display the Select element types window.

   

7. In Name column, enter the element type name, for example, :SIMUOStream to filter for available element types like that.

8. Select the element type for which a new grid is required, for example :SIMUOStream to make the Add to list button available.

   

9. Click Add to list to add the list to the Chosen element types area.

   

10. Click OK to populate the Element types entry field.

    

11. Enter a name in the User-defined name entry field, for example, EPT-UO-STREAMSPLITTER-DBVIEW.

12. Enter a description in the Description field, for example, DB View for UO Stream Splitter Grids.

13. On the Columns tab, check if the corresponding attributes are available.

    

    Note: If the attribute area is empty, the Add Standard Attributes option is available and you can add the corresponding attributes manually.
    
    Click Add Standard Attribute to populate the table with attributes from the data base.

    The grid element type is prepared and displayed in the View Definition Set table.

    

    Repeat the steps 2 to 13 to create each required grid. The new set(s) can be used to Create Simulation Grid.
