Overview of AVEVA Administration

The Project is a fundamental concept in the AVEVA base product, and all work takes place within a project. Everything that is defined in AVEVA Administration is specific to a given project, although it is possible to read databases in another project.

A project contains a number of database files. Each database file owns a number of elements: each element has a number of attributes. The AVEVA base product supports different database types (Design, Draft etc.). Each database type has a different database schema; that is, the element/attribute structure is different.
