REPAIR (Global Project Administration)

  • Last UpdatedMar 22, 2022
  • 1 minute read

Function:

Repairs the System Database (DB), to remove deleted Global elements, including deleted DBs.

Note:
The administrator will not be prompted to carry out a REPAIR as a result of the System finding deallocated DBs. This results from using DEALLOCATE with the KEEPMDBS option.

In a Global Project, this command may be used to repair or check repair needed to the System DB. There are four main commands:

  • Q REPAIR - required ‑ Returns an integer indicating the number of illegal entries in the System DB.

  • REPAIR ‑ Outputs a report and Repairs the DB.

  • REPAIR NOCHECK ‑ Repairs the DB without a report.

  • REPAIR CHECKONLY ‑ Outputs a report without Repairing the DB.

The latter is useful when using AVEVA Administration in READONLY mode, as at a Satellite with a Secondary System DB.

Examples:

Q REPAIRREQUIRED

REPAIR

REPAIR CHECKONLY

REPAIR NOCHECK

Command Syntax:

>-- REPAIR ---+-----------------.

              +--- NOcheck -----+
