User Defined Type Group

A User Defined Type Group (UDTG) element enables the definition and use of specific named selection criteria using compound type filters. UDTGs can be used in several place to replace lists of element types and/or expressions. For example, a UDTG can be defined so that it filters out all Pipework (PIPE) and Equipment (EQUIP) elements with a certain PURP and STATUS value.

An UDTG element is defined by a user defined name, an optional description and an optional icon resource name. The actual filtering is defined as User Defined Type Group Filter Eelements (UDTELEs), elements that define a list of elements types and an optional filtering expression. One UDTG element can have one or more UDTELE elements.
