Piping Network System

Each piping network system in the project displays as a record on the piping network system grid.
Multiple piping network systems can be added to the drawing. Each piping network system can own multiple piping network segments.

The piping network system can be modified directly on the grid. Alternatively, select the piping network system on the P&ID Explorer and modify the attributes.
Piping Network System Items
The from and to values indicate the items that are connected to a piping network system. For example, an equipment item or a nozzle.
To display the from and to attributes, select the piping network system on the P&ID Explorer.
Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Piping Network System From or Piping Network System To attribute.

The example includes multiple Piping Network System To values because centerline 50-200-A1A-WT-A50-ET is connected to nozzle PV02 N02, on the same piping network system, and centerline 50-100-A1A-WT-A50-ET, on a different piping network system.

Attribute Propagation
Note:
All propagatable attribute values will be auto-populated in their respective Naming Rule windows from the piping network system to its piping network segments and then to
the piping connections during pipe hierarchy creation.
If a piping network system owns a centerline and piping network segment, the unique attribute values set at configuration will be propagated from the associated centerline to the piping network system and piping network segment, and vice-versa, for example:
-
Number
-
Pipeline Fluid Specification
Additional attribute values can be defined to propagate from the centerline to the piping network system using the attribute propagation settings in the Configuration module.
Refer to Attribute Propagation for further information.
