Extract Flush Commands Failing

  • Last UpdatedJan 26, 2022

Extract flush commands across a Global network may fail for legitimate reasons (see Reasons Claims and Flushes can Fail for details), for instance, there is a naming clash (two user's trying to issue a part of the same name; one will succeed, while the other will fail).

Normally Flush commands will be reset automatically by the system, allowing subsequent Flush commands to proceed. In exceptional circumstances this may fail to happen - for example if the Transaction database has been RENEWed. In such situations, the user must reset the dB using the EXTRACT FLUSH RESET command.

Note:
Under normal operation use of EXTRACT FLUSH RESET should be avoided. The system will reset the dB automatically after a failed Flush.
