Note:
Multiple DataBases (MDB)s can also be created automatically as part of the Inter-Discipline Project Creation process.
Click MDBs on the Manage tab and click Create. The Create Multiple Database window is displayed.

Specify a Name and a Description.
Use the scrolling lists to define the databases in the MDB, and whether they are current or deferred.
A MDB can contain up to 5000 Databases (DBs), and any number of the 5000 DBs can be described as current and accessed at one time. The other databases are deferred. Databases can be transferred between current and deferred status at any time, so that a user can replace a current database by a non-current one to access a particular part of the design.
The Project Databases and Database Sets list shows all the databases in the project which are not in the MDB. Use the arrow buttons are used to add and remove databases from the MDB, either as current or deferred, and to change a database between the current and deferred lists. Use the Insert option to position the databases in a specified order in the list of current databases. The order is important: refer to Multiple Databases (MDBs).
Note:
Two databases will have the same Database Number (DBNO) if one has been created as
a copy or as an extract. An MDB can only contain one database with a given DBNO.
Note:
There can be a performance issue with large lists of databases. However this can be
improved using the Rebuild Lists option. If selected, the lists are not rebuilt each time a database is moved; only
when clicking Apply or Now. The option is selected by default. The picking order of databases is relevant, where
databases will be added or exchanged in accordance with the pick order.
