Create Symbol with Leader Line

Use the Create new symbol with leader line window to create a symbol with a leader line. The leader line can be used to connect to an engineering item.

Type a unique name for the symbol with leader line.

If the name is not unique, an error message displays summarizing the problem.

Once named, draw and annotate the symbol using the blank drawing canvas, the symbol is created as a member element of the currently selected symbol palette on the Setup Explorer. By default, the Graphical Canvas - Symbol Editor tab is displayed.

Note:
If the symbol requires a leader line, it must not be drawn on the drawing canvas. The leader line visibility is set using the Attributes window.

The example displays a symbol named Manometer. The symbol contains drawing elements and intelligent text.

Use the Attributes window to define the display name, description, template status, class, leader line visibility, terminator glyph (leader line arrow head) visibility and associated attributes.
