Import from ETAP

Use the functionality to import ETAP data into the project, AVEVA Engineering sends a request to the AVEVA Integration Service Service which translates the data from the ETAP xml file into an format which AVEVA Engineering can interpret. Data mappings (stored in AVEVA Engineering) are applied to create a data set which can then be viewed in AVEVA Engineering.

The data set can then be selected and imported into a project using the Compare/Update functionality. The progress of the import is displayed, the Compare/Update grids are then displayed in the Compare/Update window displaying the differences between the target and source element types.
