Update Reference Input and Reference Output for Equipment and Inline items

Prerequisite

• Create Functional Item from Flow Sheet or

• Create Functional Items Manually

  

To update the Reference Input and Reference Output for equipment and inline items

1. Open Item Attributes for a manually created Functional Item (FUNITE) or a FUNITE from flowsheet, for example, HX 1.

2. Search for Item Attributes and Values, for example, Ref.

   

3. Click in to the value field to make the ... icon available.

   

4. Click the ... icon to display the Reference Array Browser.

   

5. Click Add to display the Engineering Reference Browser.

   

6. Select the S3 stream that leads into the HX1 heat exchanger.

7. Click OK to populate the Reference Array Browser.

   

8. Click OK.

9. Repeat step 3 to 9 for Ref Output and S5.

   The Reference Input and Reference Output are propagated with the required values.

   

   Repeat the procedure for outstanding equipments or inline items to make sure, that the Link and Update PFD functionality is working properly for those items.
