Resolve Preview Import Conflicts

Use the Resolve Conflicts window, together with the diagram views of the current model, import file and the Properties window to manually resolve conflicts during preview import.

If the grid view is open when the preview import process is started, it is closed automatically. The options available on the Grid drop-down menu of the ribbon become inactive during the import preview process.

The diagram views of the current model and import file, and Properties window are synchronized. For example, select an object in the current model diagram view to highlight the corresponding object in the import file diagram view. The properties of the selected object are displayed in the Properties window. The Properties window is read only.

Conflicting Objects

The Conflicting Objects part of the Resolve Conflicts window displays the objects that are required to be manually resolved. A warning displays adjacent to the object name.

The label and URI reference are displayed for current objects and matched objects. By default, the check box is selected for the matched object with an identical name and URI reference.

The highlighted fields indicate matched objects that must be modified to resolve conflicts.

Preview

The preview option is enabled when conflicts are manually resolved. A tick displays adjacent to the object name.

Click Preview to display the Preview window which allows you to accept or reject identified changes for classes, attributes, class associations and list of values. Refer to Accept or Reject Preview Import Identified Changes for further information.
