Stand-Alone DICE Commands

Use the following commands to configure options in stand-alone DICE:

For a comprehensive list of commands the administrator can use in DICE, see Data Integrity Checking.

Use the CHECK command to check one or more Database (DB) files. In this mode, the administrator can only refer to DBs by their external file names rather than by their internal DB names. Up to ten files may be specified in a single command.

Note: The EXTERNAL command cannot be used in stand-alone mode (or by REMOTE CHECK), as only one DB file can be accessed at a time.

Use the STOP or FINISH command to exit DICE in stand-alone mode.

Use the ALPHA command to send the reports generated by DICE to a named file in the working directory. For example:

ALPHA LOG /%AVEVA_DESIGN_EXE%/MESSAGE.DAT

The default name of the message file can be found from the entry for DICE in the current version of makmac.mac, the Project configuration macro.

Note: The ERRORFILE command is no longer supported in current versions. Use the ALPHA LOG command instead.
