Manage Component Groups for Streams

To define component groups for streams

  1. Start AVEVA Engineering - Configuration Module.

  2. On the Rules tab in the Components area, select Manage Groups to display the Manage Component Groups window.

  3. Above the Groups panel, click New to create a NewTemplate1 in the Groups panel and to populate the Available Components panel.

  4. In the Groups panel, double-click the NewTemplate1 line to highlight the name.

  5. Enter a name for a specific component type, for example, Liquid.

  6. Press enter.

  7. In the Available Components panel, select a liquid component, for example, H2O.

  8. Click the arrow right button to populate the Selected Components panel.

  9. Repeat step 7 and 8 to add TBUTALC to the Liquid template.

  10. Repeat step 3 to 6 for a Gas template.

  11. Select the Gas template.

  12. Repeat step 7 and 8 to add N2, O2, NITROGEN, ARGON and OXYGEN to the Gas template.

  13. Select the Active check box for each template to make them active groups.

  14. Click OK to close the Manage Components window.

  15. Select the Save icon top left corner.

  16. Start AVEVA Unified Engineering - Engineer as PROC.ENG.

  17. Select Project to display the navigation pane.

  18. Select Get Work.

    The component groups become available in the Engineer module.

    You can check in the Simualtion tab in the Components area selecting the Manage Group functionality.

    For further use, you can Assign Component Groups to Streams now.
