Database Integrity Checking

  • Last UpdatedMay 09, 2024

The Database Integrity Checker (DICE), checks the internal structures of the project databases and reports any inconsistencies or faults within them. It can also check the consistency of the System and Comms databases. It produces statistical information about the effective use of the database storage capacity. To identify and correct any data problems, and prevent any corruption getting worse, we recommend that you run DICE on a regular cadence.

The DICE Patch option can be used to correct minor misalignments within the DB structure.

The checks cover only the self-consistency of the stored elements in the database hierarchies. The consistency of the element attributes can be checked using the Data Consistency options in MODEL and DRAFT.
