Classes

Use the Classes functionality to edit the class synonyms, attributes and associations for the class, display any inherited attributes and associations and navigate to attributes or associated classes.

Name

Displays the name for the class.

Description

Displays the description for the class.

Internationalization

Use the internationalisation functionality to enter names and descriptions in multiple languages.

The list is populated with the defined languages for the project. Refer to Languages for further information. The list of languages is read only, languages cannot be added or deleted.

If no language is specified, then the default language will be used. Any objects that do not have a value for the specified language but have one set for the unqualified will be named using the unqualified value.

Active in Build

Class is set to Active in Build, which means it will be instantiated when the model is built. By default, the Class is set to Active in Build when a new object is created.

Inactive in Build

Class is set to Inactive in Build, which means it will not be instantiated when the model is built. These items will not have a User Defined Element (UDET) created for them and will not be displayed in the Engineerr module.

Requirement

Classifies conceptual model classes with an engineering requirement value; either Functional, Physical, Functional and Physical or Installed. Refer to Requirement for further information.

Class Synonyms

Displays the class synonyms. Refer to Class Synonyms for further information.

Attributes

Show inherited attributes

Displays the inherited attributes. Refer to Inherited Attributes for further information.

Group attributes by owning class

Groups the attributes by their owning class.

Expand/Collapse attribute groups

Expand or collapse the attribute groups.

Class Associations

Show inherited associations

Displays the inherited associations. Refer to Inherited Associations for further information.

Group associations by owning class

Groups the associations by their owning class.

Expand/Collapse association groups

Expand or collapse the association groups.

Edit Mode

Add an existing item

Use to add an existing item.

Add a new item

Use to add a new item.

Remove the selected items from the list

Select the required check boxes to remove items from the list. The items still exist.

Select all items for removal

Selects all check boxes to remove items from the list. The items still exist.
