The System tab displays the System hierarchy:

The hierarchies are displayed in a standard Explorer tree-view.

Elements which have been claimed locally are displayed in bold.

To expand a node in the hierarchy, click to the left of the node name. To contract an expanded node, click to the left of the node name.

If the Track Current Element (CE) checkbox is selected, the attributes of the currently selected element in the hierarchy are displayed to the right of the explorer.

The displayed attributes can be edited.

Note:
If the database has been set to Explicit Claim mode, before elements can be edited they must first be claimed.
If an attempt to edit an unclaimed element in such a database is made, the edit will fail.
A message is issued explaining why and the cell feedback color is set indicating an unsuccessful edit.

Refer to Manage Claims, Messages and Message Log, Feedback Colors for further information.
