Free Text Cells Mapping to Database Attributes Upgrade

Free Text Cells Mapping to Database Attributes Upgrade

If a datasheet template contains one or more free-text cells, you can map each of those cells to an attribute. For example, to update the description of a tag from within a datasheet, link a free-text cell in the datasheet to the Description attribute.

As an Administrator, I would like the ability for free text cells that are mapped to a database attribute to set the values (free text cells) to the database, so that it will assist in the transfer of existing datasheet templates.

Because the free text cell still has the value, If we have a free text cell subsequently mapped to the database, it will write that cell's value to the database.

Free text cells need to be mapped to the desired user defined or database attributes in the datasheet templates.

Instances when database attributes already contain values and also free text cells hold data, such cells need to be highlighted in red with data in it as free text cell's data. This is to let the Administrator know the update has failed during upgrade. From the next open onwards, the DB values will be shown just like today.

The attribute mapping to free text cell doesn’t support inside continuation area.
