Connect Instrument to Inline Component

Draw a process instrument connection line between an instrument and an inline component to connect them.

Connected Items

The first connected and second connected values indicate the items that are connected to a process instrument connection line.

To display the first connected and second connected attributes, select the process instrument connection line on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the First Connected or Second Connected attribute.

Process Instrument Connection Specification

The process instrument connection specification value indicates the piping specification of the selected item.

To display the process instrument specification attribute, select the item on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Process Instrument Connection Specification attribute.

Attribute Propagation

If the created process instrument connection line is connected to an existing inline component, the following attribute values are propagated from the associated centerline.

• Pipeline specification
