Revision Block Definition

A Revision Block Definition (REVBLD) element defines the display of the revision block. The REVBLD element is an independent definition and can be linked into other configurations, however it is dependent upon the selected status definition.

Right-click the required REVBLD element in the Dictionary Explorer, select Edit Revision Block Definition from the drop-down menu to display the Revision Block Definition window.

Use the Revision Block Definition window to define the status definition, display settings and attributes for the revision block.

Display name

Input a name for the revision block definition.

Status definition

Ties the revision block definition to a particular status definition.

Limit the number of revisions displayed to

Limits the number of revisions displayed.

Display latest revision first

Displays the latest revision first in the revision block, otherwise displays the latest revision last.

Pin earliest revisions

Used to define the number of revisions to be pivoted (datasheets and drawings), Click to check the checkbox then select the number of revisions.

Note:
The number of revisions to be pivoted should not be greater than the number of revisions displayed.

Display part 1 revisions only

Click to select the checkbox to display the latest revision of each revision (major excluding minor) see below:

Display revisions in

Displays the revisions in rows or columns in the revision block.

Display headers

Displays a header row or column in the revision block.

Use the Attributes part of the Revision Block Definition window to add the attributes displayed in the Revision Block.

Select Add attribute, choose an attribute from the drop-down list, Input the name of the attribute to display in the header of the revision block. Repeat as required.

To remove an attribute from the revision block, select Remove attribute. Repeat as required.

Click OK to save the changes or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Revision Block Definition window.
