Assign Tracing Specification

The pipeline tracing specification value indicates the tracing specification of the selected item.

To display the pipeline tracing specification attribute, select the item on the drawing canvas.

Open the Attributes window and navigate to the Pipeline Tracing Specification attribute.

Click ... to display the Assign tracing specification window.

Grid

Displays the tracing specification references that are available for selection.

Attribute Propagation

If the Pipeline Tracing Specification attribute value is modified at piping network system level, a Confirm window is displayed.

Click Yes to propagate the attribute value to all child items on the piping network system until the first break is found.

Click No to update the attribute value on the piping network system only.

If the Pipeline Tracing Specification attribute value is modified at piping network segment level, the attribute value is propagated to all child items on the piping network segment until the first break is found.

If the Pipeline Tracing Specification attribute value is modified at centerline or inline component level, the attribute value is propagated to all items on the piping network segment until the first break is found. The first connected item attribute value is synchronized with the piping network segment.
