Use the Toolbox functionality to add standard controls to the datasheet template. Select the required control, drag and drop the attribute into the cell adjacent to the matching label text in the datasheet template.

Dependent upon which standard control is selected determines what attributes are displayed in the Properties part of the datasheet template editor window.

Most of the attributes are common through out such as Font, Colour, Borders and Behaviour.

However some are unique to the standard control, refer to the individual control for further information:

  • Cardinality

  • Case Control Cell

  • CheckBox

  • Free Text Cell

  • Notes Control

  • Pageinfo

  • Picture Box

  • Radio Button List

  • Symbol

  • Tag Control

  • Unit of Measure.

    CheckBox

Creates a checkbox inside a cell in the datasheet template.

    Radio Button List

Creates a radio button inside a cell in the datasheet template.

    Picture Box

Creates a picture box inside a cell in the datasheet template.

On the Properties window, select the Image property to navigate to the required picture.

To make image files in datasheets editable and deletable and, set the Is Editable and Can Delete properties to True.

    Unit of Measure

Creates a units of measure cell with the same identity which can appears on more than one sheet in the datasheet.

On the Properties window, select the Unit set property to define the unit set associated with the cell.

    Tag Control

Enables all of the tags linked to the datasheets to be displayed.

    Note:
This can also be connected to mapped attributes and areas on the datasheet to control which tag the attributes are displayed from.

    Notes Control

Enables the storage of notes directly against a tag in the database.

    Note:
Maps long string UDA’s with no upper limit on the number of characters stored in the attribute. The attributes can also be mapped onto a Datasheet template.

    Free Text Cell

Creates a free text cell in the datasheet template.

    Cardinality

Enables compatibility with the legacy DB cardinality feature.

    Case Control Cell

Connects to cells that have been mapped to case variant attributes.

    Pageinfo

    Creates a page information cell.

    Page Number Information
