Authenticating Global with your CONNECT Account

For customers with an CONNECT account who are using AVEVA Cloud technology to run Global projects, Global daemon authorization has been enhanced to use your CONNECT account to secure the Global license.

It is now possible to:

• Run daemons communicating with cloud based satellites without a license

• Run licensing as a service (LaaS) to obtain Global licenses.

  Note:
  These set-up options are only available to those customers, typically CONNECT administrators, with the appropriate permissions configured.

To use either of the above options it is first necessary to generate a token for your CONNECT account.
