Extract Control

Click Extract Database Control on the Manage tab. The Extract Database Control window is displayed.

The left-hand list shows all the extract databases in the project (including primary (master) databases): the user can use the Sort Databases options to sort the list Alphabetically or to show the extract Hierarchy.

The right-hand list shows information about the database selected in the left-hand list. If the user switches on Show Extract Elements at the top of the window, the list will also show the elements extracted to this Database (DB).

The Extract DB Operations buttons at the bottom left of the window allow the user to flush, issue or abort all changes to the selected DB. Clicking Get All Changes at the bottom right of the window allows the user to refresh an extract DB. Use From parent only to refresh an extract DB with changes from its parent extract only, or use From all ancestors to fully refresh an extract DB with changes made from all its extract ancestors. Using From all ancestors will consequently update the intermediate ancestors.
