Create component area

  • Last UpdatedJun 12, 2024

You create a component area by converting a continuation area.

The continuation area must have enough columns for the number of FEED streams, the number of attributes per stream, and the names of the chemicals. The cells in the first column of a component area are reserved for the chemical names. They are read-only and you cannot map attributes to them. So, to display, for example, four attributes for each of two streams, create an area with nine columns.

  1. Create a continuation area.

  2. Select all the cells of the continuation area.

  3. Expand the Area Type section of the Properties pane and select Component in the list in the Area field.
The continuation area is converted to a component area.

  4. Select all the cells of the component area.

  5. Expand the Behaviour section of the Properties pane. In the Number of Attributes field, specify the number of attributes to display.
