Simulation Workflow

In AVEVA Process Simulation, you create different process cases for different flow rates of a plant. These process cases are published to AVEVA Engineering.
In AVEVA Engineering, you import the data. The data are stored as simulation items (SIMITES). The SIMITE works as a kind of cache data coming from simulation or published back to AVEVA Process Simulation.
For further purpose, a flow diagram is created in AVEVA Engineering which contains the functional items (FUNITES). For each simulation item, you create a corresponding functional item. You must link SIMITE and FUNITE (a SIMITE Is Realized By a FUNITE) to enable communication between the applications forward and backwards. Functional items are required to reflect the different process cases. Out of the cases you define the required/proper size of the FUNITE.
The defined FUNITE is the base for a realistic engineering item (ENGITE) which you can buy on the market. FUNITE AND ENGITE must correspond again (a FUNITE Is Realized By an ENGITE). If the ENGITE is determined, the items properly linked, the defined data form ENGITE will be pushed back to FUNITE and then to SIMITE.
You can import the updated simulation data in AVEVA Process Simulation and check the flow process with the updated item data again.
The following scenarios reflect the process.
