Propagation of Databases of Access-Type Update

When Global propagates a database with access Update, it locks out the users from that database. This will affect the users during Save Work, Get Work and Module-switching, who may experience this as base product 'hanging'.

It is recommended that:

1. Only databases with access Multiwrite should be used in the Global project.

2. Otherwise Global Update Events should be scheduled outside normal working hours (this is not always possible in world-wide projects, but can be achieved by using an intermediate satellite for transfer across time-zones).

3. Access Update can be used with non-propagating databases, since these are not transferred by Global.

4. Access Update is also acceptable where a database is modified rarely, for example a dictionary (DICT) databases.
