Logically Delete Notifications

A notification related to a tag is cleared if the linked reference tag is deleted or purged. On deleting any reference tag, a notification is displayed in the Tag Notification column on affected parent tag in the grid. Notifications are displayed for all the affected tags irrespective of who deleted them. Clicking on the notification in the grid, a message window is displayed with details of all deleted tag(s) and other appropriate information. After a SaveWork, the notification is visible to all users.

For example: a cable is connected between a switch and a motor. Upon deleting the cable, both switch and motor (parents) are highlighted with notification in the grid.

Note:
All notifications in the grid can be deleted from all parent elements in the hierarchy.

Logical delete of a Flange

For the purpose of this example - a pump is the parent of a nozzle and the nozzle is the parent of an flange.

1. Select the flange

2. Carry out a logical delete, an notification on the flange’s parent (pump and nozzle) is displayed in Tag Notification column of the grid.

3. Double click the notification to display the details of the deleted tag and the other appropriate information.

4. Perform a SaveWork, the notification is now visible to all users.

Purge of a Flange

For the purpose of this example - a pump is the parent of a nozzle and the nozzle is the parent of an flange.

5. Select the flange which is already logical deleted.

6. Carry out a purge, an notification on the flange’s parent (pump and nozzle) is displayed in Tag Notification column of the grid.

7. A purge notification will only be created if there is a logical delete notification.

8. Double click the notification to display the details of the purged tag and the other appropriate information.

9. Perform a SaveWork, the notification is now visible to all users.
