Identities

Owner

Specifies the owner of the identity. Owners can be created, edited and deleted. An owner can have multiple versions. Deleting an owner deletes all versions and identities related to the owner.

Note:
Deleting an owner does not delete the model item, the identity value is deleted from the model item.

Publisher

Specifies the publisher of the identity.

Note:
If you are logged into the application as a non-AVEVA domain user, you cannot edit AVEVA-published identities.

Version

Specifies the version of the identity. Versions can be created, edited and deleted. A version must always belong to an owner. Deleting a version deletes all identities related to the owner.

Note:
Deleting a version does not delete the model item, the identity value is deleted from the model item.

Date

Specifies the version date.

Description

Displays the description of the identity.

Namespace

Displays the namespace of the version. This is displayed in the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the identity when data is exported.

Is Editable

Select the check box to allow the version and identity value to be edited on the Properties window.

Deselect the check box to lock the version and identity value for editing on the Properties window. The version and identity values display greyed out.

Enforce Unique IDs

Select the check box to enable unique identity values on the Properties window.

If the identity value is not unique, an error message displays summarizing the problem.

Deprecated

Select the check box to label the version as deprecated. The version does not display on the Properties window.

Select Versions

Select a version from the drop-down list.

Identity Value

Specifies the identity value associated to the model item. An alpha numeric character string can be used.
