Modify Database Attributes

The attributes of databases can be modified using a window very similar to the Create window. Click Database and Extracts on the Manage tab. Select the element to modify and click Modify. The, Modify Database window is displayed.

Alternatively, from the Create Database window, select Modify from the drop-down list at the top right.

• You can change the Name, Description, Multiwrite Claim and Area Number of a database, and whether or not it is a Controlled database.

• You can remove protected status or change the protection expiry date.

The Database Type, Product, DB Number and File Number cannot be changed.

Note:
If you try to change a database name to a name that already exists, you are prompted to confirm that you want to overwrite the database.
