A prerequisite for creating datasheets is that this hierarchical structure exists:

Create this structure in the Database Explorer:

On the Admin tab, click Database Explorer.

Right-click the, top-level, Engineering World element and select New>DSIWLD: Datasheet Instance World.

Right-click the DSIWLD element and select New>DSIGRO: Datasheet Instance Group.
A datasheet instance is created each time a datasheet is created from a datasheet template. Each datasheet instance is stored below the DSIGRO element in the Database Explorer.
To create a datasheet instance within the Database Explorer (typically a one-time task during initial setup of AVEVA Engineering), right-click the DSIGRO element and select New>DSINST:Database Instance.
The datasheet instance is created with a default name, the attributes and properties of the datasheet are displayed.
