Compare Revisions and Add Revision Clouds

Compares two different versions of issued drawings and highlights the differences with revision clouds.

Use the Compare Revisions window to define the drawing revisions for comparison.

The two revisions for comparison must first be selected.

Select a revision state on the Base revision list.

Select a revision state on the Target revision list.

To compare the selected revisions, click Select.

The comparison then takes place:

• Objects that have been created, deleted or modified since the base revision are surrounded by a red cloud.

• Intelligent tables that have been created, deleted or modified since the base revision are surrounded by a red cloud.

• Changes to symbol or label attribute values using intelligent text, including reclassified drawing objects, are also surrounded by a red cloud.

The drawing revision number in which each change was made is indicated with a triangle.

In the example, objects have been created, deleted and moved. Each modification is surrounded by a red cloud.

Revision clouds can be modified until the drawing is issued and becomes read only. Refer to Modify Outline Type for further information.
