Structural Element
Primary Element
Description
A FITT can be used to represent any item which is attached to the Structure but which does not form an integral part of it. It may be used to indicate such things as the presence of a connected implied load, such as a pipe hanger attachment, or an ancillary item such as a web stiffener or a flange plate.
A FITT is positioned along the Z axis of its owning Section, in the same way as a Secondary Node.
