The Limits tab becomes available when a valid Expansion Surface is defined and allows you to define the view limits.

Volume Criteria
The volume criteria displays the expansion surface.
View Limits
The view limits are initially set to the limits of the selected surface and can be modified. The view limits affect the drawlist selection, only model elements fully or partially within the view limits are drawn.
The view limits are used for 3D clipping, only the parts of the model elements that are within the view limits will be unfolded. This avoids unfolding curves in a geometrically tricky part of the surface. This type of clipping is unique for the expansion view and is a substitute for section planes which are not available for expansion views.

Click Continue to continue the process or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Create Expansion View window.
If a view scale is defined, you are prompted to Specify the centre point or
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the center of the view.
If a view scale is not defined, you are prompted to Specify the first corner or
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the first corner of the view.
You are then prompted to Specify the opposite corner or
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the opposite corner of the view. The view is created.
Throughout the view creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Scale Factor |
Press the down arrow key and select Scale Factor to define a different scale factor for the expansion view. Input the required scale at the prompt and press Enter. |

Centre-Width |
Press the down arrow key and select Centre-Width to create an expansion view with a specified center point. You are then prompted to Specify the centre point or Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the center of the view. You are then prompted to Specify the width or Input a dimensional value in the field and press Enter or move the cursor left or right to define the width of the view. Click to confirm the required width. You are then prompted to Specify the height or Input a dimensional value in the field and press Enter or move the cursor up or down to define the height of the view. Click to confirm the required height. The view is created. |

Corner |
Press the down arrow key and select Corner to create an expansion view with specified corners. The process is identical to creating an expansion view with a view scale that is not defined, described previously. |

Centre-Scale |
Press the down arrow key and select Centre-Scale to create an expansion view with a specified center point and view scale. You are prompted to Scale or Input a value in the field and press Enter to define the scale of the view. You are then prompted to Specify the centre point or Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the center of the view. The view is created. |

Back |
Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action. |

The expansion view can be compared with an ordinary representation of the curved elements.

The new VIEW element displays in the Draw Explorer.
