Imports any type of surface (such as a mainhull surface or compartment limits) using one of the following file sources:
-
Surfaces checked and modified in Surface Manager with file format .xba.
Note: Export the surface from the Hull Surfaces folder in Surface Manager.
-
Surfaces from third-party software via the Surface Definition file .txt.
Use Browse to find and select the surface file. From the drop-down menu, choose SSOWLD as the storage location for surfaces.

Select Import to start the import operation. The Imported surfaces are stored under the selected SSOWLD, along with any other curves under that surface.
Note: If the imported surface name already exists in the database, the existing surface is overwritten and the SSOWLD is ignored.
The Log window reports the import status. To save the log, select Export error log. This creates a file called <surface-definition-file>.log in the same folder as the imported definition file.
