Explicit Position

Moves an element(s) from its current position to an explicitly defined position.
Select the element to be positioned in the Model Explorer or in the 3D view.

Datum
A datum (a point to move relative to) must be set; select an option from the Datum drop-down menu to identify the datum.

Origin |
Click to identify the origin (0,0,0) of the CE as the datum. |

P-Point |
Click to identify a P-Point on the CE as the datum. Refer to Attributes Menu for further information on P-Points. |

Designate Position |
You are prompted to Designate reference point (Snap) Snap: in the 3D graphical view. |
Note:
The options available in the drop-down list, are dependent upon the element selected
as the CE.
Once the datum has been selected, it is displayed in the 3D graphical view; you can now define the position explicitly:

If required, the axes all co-ordinates are interpreted with respect to must be set. Input dimensional values in the coordinates fields to define the position explicitly. Refer to Coordinates for further information.
Note:
The Settings menu is a system admin option.
Click Apply; the selected item is moved to its new position. To explicitly position another item, click to choose from the Select drop-down list:
