This topic describes the specification requirements for cap (CAP) components.

Data set requirements

The following requirements are in addition to the data references that are created for parameters.

** Where the Default value is set to a parameter, the Expression value must be set to the same parameter. This is applicable for all component types.

P-point requirements

For information about P-point requirements that apply for all circular components, refer to Circular component requirements.

P-point P2 has Connection Type (PCON) set to OPEN because caps are closing components and no inline component can be added after them.

The position of P-point P2 is not important, but must be included.

Specification requirements

The following specification headings are required:

• Type (TYPE)

• Duct Shape (PSHA)

• Duct Width (PWID)

• Duct Height (PHEI) = 0

Specific Type (STYP) is not used in AVEVA supplied specifications, but it can be used to differentiate between configurations.
