Conveyor Upgrade

Conveyors are created from GENSECs. Prior to Unified Engineering 3.0, conveyors were created from primitives stored in an EQUI element, under a CONVEY. To enable modification of primitive-based conveyor designs, you must upgrade existing CONVEY elements.

To upgrade a conveyor, belts of the same width as the existing conveyor must be available in the mining catalogs and specification. The belt width, belt thickness, and belt angle are applied to the upgraded conveyor. You cannot update these values during the upgrade.

Upgrade

  1. Ensure that you select the CONVEY element to upgrade.

Hierarchy of Site, Zone and Convey expanded, with CONVEY element selected.

  2. Click Upgrade Conveyor on the Mining ribbon.
Upgrade Conveyor button. Four horizontal dots with an asterisk above.
The Upgrade Conveyor form is displayed.
Upgrade Conveyor form showing ID of old and new conveyor, and details of the new conveyor.

  3. Select the idler types for each section of the conveyor.

  4. Click Upgrade.
The new conveyor is created under a STRU element, under the original conveyor. The original conveyor is not deleted. If the original conveyor is not required, you can delete the DDSE and EQUI.
Hierarchy of Site, Zone, Convey, STRU expanded.

You can now modify the new conveyor.

Modify Idlers form with Idler Spacing selected and with an image of conveyor superimposed.
