The Design Template search tool allows the User to search for Design Templates. The User can search all or part of the Design Template name, description or generic type (Gtype). The User can specify several search criteria. For example, find all Design Templates with name containing 'ADV/' and description containing the word 'pump'.
When Design Templates matching the search criteria have been listed in the table, the search can be further refined using the table filtering functions.
On the Design Templates tab, in the Tools group, click Search Templates to display the Design Template Search window.
Click Show All Templates to display all design templates in the current MDB.
Search Criteria:

Name (All or Part) |
A Design Template is listed if the Design Template name contains the string entered in the field. Name comparisons are case sensitive. |

All or part of description |
A Design Template is listed if the Design Template description contains the string entered in the field. Description comparisons are not case sensitive. |

Generic Type |
A Design Template is listed if the Design Template Generic Type (GTYPE) contains the string entered in this field. GTYPE comparisons are not case sensitive. |
Click Search to list the Design Templates matching the criteria.
Double click the selected Design Template in the search results list to navigate to the Template element in Model Explorer.
Export to Excel
The User can export the search results of the Define Template Search window to Excel. Right-click the selected Design Template in the search results list and select Export to Excel to display the Save As window.
Print Preview
The User can print preview the search results of the Define Template Search window. Right-click the selected template in the search results list and select Print Preview to display the Print Preview window.
Search Tool Filter
The User can filter the search results of the Define Template Search window. Navigate to the blank row under the heading row of the search results list to display the filtering controls.
The User can input a value in the Filter Criteria field to refine the search criteria.
The User can define the templates to filter and select Text Filters to refine the search criteria. Click OK to filter the search criteria or Cancel to discard any inputs and close the filtering controls.
Click 
to clear the filter criteria for the selected column.
Search Tool Group
The User can group the search results of the Define Template Search window. Navigate to the blank row under the heading row of the search results list to display the filtering controls.
Select a Column Header, for example Name, and drag and drop the selection into the Drag a column header here to group by that column field.
Click 
to expand the table of entries for that group.
