Modify Take-up

  • Last UpdatedApr 09, 2025
  • 2 minute read

When modifying a take-up, if the take-up is selected, the entire take-up is highlighted and the entire take-up can be moved towards the head pulley or toward the tail pulley.

Set the distance in the Move Distance textbox and the direction required, and then click on the Apply button.

This way, all of the rollers are moved. Note that the idlers on the belts to the take-up and from the take-up do not move. However, should the connecting belts be shortened so that any idlers would not lie within the extents of the modified belt, the following confirm alert is displayed:

If the Yes button is selected, then the idlers are deleted. If the No button is selected, then the idlers are not deleted and will be left 'floating'. They can then be moved back onto the belt or deleted as required.

If the modification is not expected or the user decides that the modification is not required, then the Undo button can be used to put the modifications back to before the Apply button was selected.
