Configuration

The Source, Simplification Settings, Import and Import Results windows are displayed by progressive disclosure:

• Blue ticks indicate all entries are valid.

• Orange triangles indicate mandatory entries are still required.

From the functionality available from the Source window, you can select the CAD file format and CAD file to be imported.

Select the CAD file format and CAD file to import

1. Select the Tools tab in the Import group.

2. Select Model Simplification.

   Depending upon which products are installed, you will be presented with the Model Simplification window if only the Simplification Engine is installed.

   If both the Model Simplification and the Native Simplification is installed, the Native Model Simplification window is displayed.

   

3. From the Source File pane, select the CAD file format to be imported.

   

4. From the Source File pane, browse for and select the source CAD file based on your CAD file format selection, and then select Next.

   The Settings window is displayed.

   Note: If required, you can copy and paste the source CAD file location into the Select a CAD File field.
