Modify Frame Support

In the Modify Frame Support window, you can modify the dimensions and other design parameters of a frame support in the 3D View. The form is displayed when you click Frame in the Modify group on the Mining ribbon. The form is also displayed after you click Build in the Create Frame Structure form. See Create Frame Support.

The design parameters that you can modify are displayed on these tabs:

Dimensions

Modify dimensions such as frame structure width.

Profiles

Lists the profiles of the elements of the structure.

Clicking a profile highlights the appropriate part of the structure graphic.

If required, you can select a different profile from the Section Defaults group on the Mining ribbon.

Ends

Adjust the start and end positions of the frame structure.

You can select a different template for the frame structure or unlink the template.

Note:
If you select a different template, the existing frame structure is completely replaced. If you unlink the template, you can no longer modify the frame structure in Mining.

  1. Click Frame in the Modify group on the Mining ribbon. The Modify Frame Structure form is displayed.

  2. From the Templates list, select the template to use.
    The 3D View tab displays a graphic of a frame based on the selected template. The PDF tab displays an annotated diagram, if one is available.

  3. Optionally, click Pop Out to display the tabs in a separate window, which you can resize as required.

  4. Change the design parameter values as required. Double-click a value, specify a new value and press Enter.
    Limits may apply to some values.

  5. Click Apply Dimensions to apply your changes, or click Reset Dimensions to revert all dimensions to their original values.

  6. To apply a different profile to a section of the framework, first click the Profiles tab and select the profile to change.

  7. Select the required profile from the Section Defaults group on the Mining ribbon.

  8. Click Apply Section Default to Selected Sections. When you have completed the profile changes, click Apply Profiles.

  9. To change the start or end position of the framework, first click the Ends tab and select Start or End from the Reposition list.
    The start and end positions are constrained by the extents of the belt section on which they lie. Use these controls to change the start or end length within those constraints:

    Set the position to the minimum length.

    Reduce the length.

    Set the position to the midpoint.

    Increase the length.

    Set the position to the maximum length.

    New Length

    Specify an exact value.

    Reset Length

    Undo your changes.

  10. Click Apply Length.
