Create Orthographic Projection View

Creates an orthographic projection view of the objects in an existing 2D view.

You are prompted to Select view

Note:
The prompt does not display if a view is already selected.

Click to identify the view to create a projection from.

A 3D preview image of the selected view displays at the cursor.

You are then prompted to Specify projection or <Share Drawlist>

To specify the projection view direction, move the cursor to the appropriate side of the view. For example, if the required projection is a view of the objects from the top, move the cursor to the top of the view. The objects in the 3D preview image change to reflect their appearance from the selected direction.

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or move the cursor the required distance away from the original view, click to confirm the location of the new view. The projection view is created at that point.

You are then prompted to Specify projection or <Finish>

The prompt is repeated, allowing you to create multiple projection views.

Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command. The projection view is created.

Throughout the view creation process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Share Drawlist

Press the down arrow key and select Share Drawlist to reference the drawlist from the source view drawlist.

New Drawlist

Press the down arrow key and select New Drawlist to create a new drawlist as a copy of the source view drawlist.

First Angle Projection

Press the down arrow key and select First Angle Projection to define a first angle projection view.

The default projection angle is obtained from the system defaults. Refer to Annotations Defaults for further information.

Third Angle Projection

Press the down arrow key and select Third Angle Projection to define a third angle projection view.

Finish

Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command.

The new VIEW element displays in the Draw Explorer.
