Components Volumes

To view the components partially or fully inside this volume along with the volume of these component inside the room volume, from the Modify Inventory volume window, click Components : Calculate Volumes expand button.

The total volume of the inventory is displayed and the water volume left by the inventory and the structure in the room is shown as the net volume.

The wetted components inside the room can be viewed in the 3D view, to do this, from the Modify Inventory volume window, click to select the structural element, then click Add Selected, the selected items are displayed in the 3D view.

To print the report for the components inside the room, click Print.

To export the report of the components to MS Excel, click Export.

If there is a single extrusion primitive for the room, the height of this extrusion can be adjusted to take into account the volume of the all the elements inside the flood volume select Adjust Height using Volume.

These calculations do not take into account the fact that elements may overlap each other. and can result in water volumes that are less than the real value. If this is likely to be significant, the user can deduct these overlaps by clearing the Ignore overlapping elements adjustments check box.
