The checks made include confirmation that:
-
Adjacent items are connected and no gaps exist
-
Connection types are compatible
-
Connected components are not skewed with respect to one another
-
Pipe bores or hanger rod diameters are consistent
-
Branch and equipment connections are properly terminated
-
Hangers are correctly connected to Fittings and Attachment points (ATTAs)
-
Tubes or rods joining components are not less than minimum acceptable lengths
-
Angles of pulled Bends and Elbows fall within the limits set in the Specifications
-
Structural Sections and Joints are correctly positioned with respect to each other and are properly connected
-
Lengths of structural Sections fall within predefined ranges.

To specify the level in the database at which the consistency check is to be carried out, select an item in the scrollable Check list. The default selection is the Current Element (CE).
You can control the data checking parameters independently for piping, hvac and structural elements. To view the current checking parameters, select Piping, HVAC or Structural.
Note:
The HVAC option replaces the Piping option when you are working within the HVAC application.
To specify where the results of the data consistency check are to be sent to, click to select Screen or File as appropriate.
If Screen is selected, the results are displayed in the message area in the lower part of the window, which is the default.
If File is selected, type the file identifier in the Directory and Filename text boxes. The default directory is Local; that is, the directory from which you have entered the software. From the drop-down menu select one of the following:
-
New File
-
Overwrite
-
Append
To specify how any existing file of the same name is to be updated.
Click Check to run the data consistency check or Cancel to discard any changes and exits the window.
