Representation Rules for Single Line Representation

Single Line Representation (SLR) makes use of the standard RRUL elements to define rules that will draw Structural Model hierarchy in an orthogonal VIEW using a widget and single line SLR style (SLSTYL). Refer to Structural Single Line Representation Styles for further information.
However, RRUL elements have additional attributes to support SLR. In particular the standard style reference attribute (STYF) is supplemented by an additional SLR style reference attribute (SLRSTF). SLRSTF specifies the SLR style, while in this case, STYF specifies a fall-back standard style to be used for elements that are not suitable for a single line representation.
Note:
Only GENSECs will be drawn in SLR style. Furthermore, only GENSECs that lie in the
plane of the paper will be drawn in SLR style. GENSECs that slope into the plane of
the paper will be drawn in a standard double-line style. SLR styles are not supported
for isometric views.
|
STYF |
References fall-back standard style (STYL) element for non-SLR representation. |
|
SLRSTF |
References SLR style (SLSTYL) element for SLR representation of a GENSEC. Has no effect on non-GENSECs. |
|
REPSTYLE |
Must be set to StructuralSingleLine, otherwise the standard style will always be used. |
|
SLWPRLENGTH |
Proportional length of the widget (default 0.3) between 0.0 and 1.0, where 1.0 is the full length of the single line. If 0.0, the SLWLENGTH will be used instead. Has no effect outside SLR representation. |
|
SLWLENGTH |
Length of the widget (in real world coordinates). Mutually exclusive with SLWPRLENGTH. Has no effect outside SLR representation. |
|
SLWWIDTH |
Width of the widget (in real world coordinates). Defaults to 0.0, in which case, the real world width of the GENSEC will be used. Has no effect on non-GENSECs. Has no effect outside SLR representation. |
|
SLWDISTANCE |
Position of the center of the widget along the single line (0.0 to 1.0). Defaults to 0.5 (the center of the single line). With 0.0 positioning, the widget is as close to the start of the single line as possible. With 1.0 positioning, the widget is as close to the end of the single line as possible. Has no effect outside SLR representation. |
Local rules are also supported for SLR and can be used to move or resize individual widgets. The user interface provides specific support for this.
Note:
If the representation is changed from single line representation, any widget and single
line annotation added to the drawing manually will need to be repositioned as the
specialist single line representation ppoints will no longer be available. Warnings
to this effect will be issued on update. Auto-labels are not affected as these will
be removed automatically.
