Design Template

The Design Templates application is supplied as part of AVEVA E3D Design suite. Design Templates are standard design configurations which the User can store for subsequent use by themselves or other designers.

The guide explains the main concepts underlying the creation of Design Templates and their incorporation into the Specifications which make them accessible to other designers.

If the User is not familiar with the use of the Model module, it is recommended that the User first works through one or more of the discipline-specific guides, for example, Pipework Design or Structural Design. The User must be proficient in the use of Model before trying to create Design Templates. The User must also be familiar with the main principles of managing Catalogs and Specifications in Databases (DBs): the use of Design Templates provides an extension of those facilities.
