Creates objects using an offset distance from a specified object.
You are prompted to Specify the offset distance or <Through>
Input a dimensional value in the field and press Enter or click to identify the first point required to specify the offset distance.
You are then prompted to Specify the second point
Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the second point required to specify the offset distance (from the first point).
You are then prompted to Select object to offset or <Finish>
Click to identify the object to offset.
You are then prompted to Specify a point on side to offset or <Finish>
Click to identify the side to which the selected object is offset. The object is then offset to that side.
If an enclosed object is selected, the offset object is either created around or inside the selected object, depending on which side is selected as the offset direction.
The offset object size is determined by the offset distance and selected side. For example, if the offset distance is 10mm, and a point outside the object is identified, the copy is 10mm wider than the original on all sides.
The Select object to offset or <Finish> and Specify a point on side to offset or <Finish> prompts are repeated, allowing you to create multiple offset objects at the specified distance.
Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.
Throughout the offset process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.
