Run Whitespace Calculation

Performs the whitespace calculation on a single sheet.

Alternatively, you can use PML methods on the command line. Refer to Run Whitespace Calculation using the Command Line for further information.

The Run Whitespace window displays, informing you that whitespace calculation is a chargeable service.

Note:
AVEVA E3D Whitespace Optimizer operates using a cost charging mechanism. Refer to AVEVA E3D Whitespace Optimizer Cost Charging Mechanism Description for further information.

Click Yes to start the whitespace calculation.

Click No to cancel the whitespace calculation.

Click the Don’t show this warning again check box to turn off the display of the Run Whitespace window for future whitespace calculations. The setting is stored between sessions.

If lazy loading is implemented, the Full sheet load window displays, informing you that all drawing elements will be loaded.

Click Yes to start the whitespace calculation.

Click No to cancel the whitespace calculation.

Once activated, the prompt Whitespace: computing, Enter - accept, Esc - cancel is displayed.

The application continually calculates the optimal annotation positions without user intervention until AVEVA E3D Whitespace Optimizer reasons there are no more improvements to be made. AVEVA E3D Whitespace Optimizer then either auto-stops accepting results or cloud time-out activates which accepts the results at that moment in time. Refer to Stop Conditions for further information.

Press Enter to accept the optimal annotation positions or press Esc to cancel the command.

Alternatively, you can accept or cancel the command using the PowerWheel™.

Note:
If the whitespace calculation does not return a result, the prompt Whitespace: computing, Enter - accept, Esc - cancel is displayed. Press Esc to cancel the command.
